The articles proposed by the Biokimica Group on split calf suede are chrome retanned with addition of with BIOTAN MSA; a bisphenols-free and formaldehyde-free retanning agent based on aluminum salts, suitable for multiple applications. It can be used when a particularly compact fibrous structure is required, as a precipitation agent for water-repellent fatliquors and as a mordanting agent for anionic dyes. The main product of the fatliquor mix is LIKERSOL GF, a fatliquor based on minimal 70% of natural raw materials, making leathers shiny and soft without stickiness favoring a good buffing. The addition of a formaldehyde-free fatliquor like KATIOXOIL HG during (top) fatliquoring favors a waxy feel and a writing effect on the leather, while the use of BIOXOIL GM, a fatliquor compound based on minimal 64% of natural raw materials, generates a pleasant and slightly restrained handle.
